Loose-Leash Walking $125.00

Maximum 6 Dogs/Handler Teams

One Class per week for 5 Weeks

Mondays June 8 to July 6 2020 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Does your dog’s pulling take all the joy out of your walks? If you dream of a relaxing walk with your dog, this class is for you!

In this 5 week class, we’ll teach you how to get your dog walking by your side, paying attention to where you are.  We will also teach you how to deal with potential distractions you may encounter while you’re out.

Prerequisites:  Puppy or Basic Manners class (at Dog Nerd or elsewhere) beneficial, but not required.

Please bring the following to class:

4’ or 6’ fabric or leather leash (no chain leashes, no flexis)

Bring your dog on a flat buckle collar or martingale or harness (front clip, back clip, or front and back clip are all acceptable).

Treats – lots of them!  Something very tasty that your dog will enjoy (cut up hot dogs, cheese, liver treats, and leftovers are all excellent choices).  Your dog’s kibble will likely not be interesting enough at the beginning.  Cut up treats into pea size pieces, and carry in a treat bag or in an easily accessible pocket.

A clicker, if desired (available at the facility).

As we’ll be walking indoors and out, please dress according to the conditions.

*Please note:  this class is not suitable for dogs that are reactive on walks.  For dogs that growl, bark, or lunge, we recommend our Reactive Rover class, or One-on-One Private Coaching.
