 Education

No other industry relies as heavily on “self-taught” professionals as dog training has.  Lisa Hazelwood, Dog Nerd’s founder, owner, and training director believes we, as trainers, can do better.  She has endeavoured to increase her skills through ongoing education in order to provide clients with the best possible service.  Dog Nerd’s instructors are selected for their dedication to ongoing education, their dog training skills, and their ability to reach the human learner.

Throughout the years, Lisa has assisted local trainers in their Pet Dog, Puppy, Nose Work, Rally Obedience and Obedience classes.  She has volunteered with local rescues as a foster, as well as doing behaviour modification and education. In addition, she has volunteered at The Winnipeg Humane Society in the Dog Behaviour Department, and as an assistant with group classes.
